🆕 What’s New — Live Feed Builder (Widget)

We’ve added a completely new way to bring Facebook events onto your site: the Live Feed Builder. Instead of a single fixed shortcode, you now create unlimited independent “Feeds” — each with its own source, layout, filters, and design — from a visual, tab-based builder in your WordPress dashboard.

Every feed gets its own shortcode: [xtfepro_live_feed id="FEED_ID"]

You can also override display options directly in the shortcode, e.g.: [xtfepro_live_feed id="FEED_ID" columns="2" per_page="6"]

🛠️ How It Works

Go to Facebook Events → Live Feeds → Add New Feed
Choose where the events come from (Source tab)
Pick a layout and choose which fields to show (Display tab)
Set your button label (Buttons tab)
Apply date range/pagination rules (Filters tab)
Set cache duration and background auto-refresh (Settings tab)
Publish the feed and paste the shortcode anywhere — page, post, or widget area

🆔 Event IDs — paste specific Facebook Event IDs (comma-separated) to show hand-picked events
🔗 iCal URL — import events from any Facebook iCal/ICS export link
📄 Facebook Page ID / Username — automatically pull every upcoming event from a public Facebook Page
👥 Facebook Group URL / ID — automatically pull every upcoming event from a public Facebook Group

Every layout is fully responsive, supports 1–4 columns on desktop (mobile auto-collapses to a single column), and updates in real time as your Facebook events change.

🔢 Events per page — 6, 9, 10, 12, 20, 30, 40, or 50
📄 Pagination style — Numbered (AJAX), Load More button, Infinite Scroll, or show all events with no pagination

⚡ Performance & Caching

🕒 Smart caching — choose 1 / 6 / 12 / 24 hours or a custom interval; events refresh from Facebook only once per interval
🔄 Auto-refresh in background — feeds can silently refresh on a schedule (via Action Scheduler) so visitors never wait on a live Facebook fetch
📥 Background full sync — the moment you save a Page/Group-sourced feed, every page of events is fetched in the background, so even large feeds (200–300+ events) never time out your dashboard
🖼️ High-quality image caching — full-resolution cover photos are fetched and cached automatically, with a weekly cleanup routine and a manual “Clear Hard Cache” button
🧹 One-click cache clearing — clear a feed’s data cache any time from the feed editor

The requirements below apply only if you use the classic/legacy widget shortcode ([wpfb_events]) with the official Facebook Graph API. The new Live Feed Builder above does not require a Facebook App.

Facebook Events Pro Installation

Remove basic version of this plugin if you have installed
Download the “Facebook Events Pro” plugin from your profile in https://xylusthemes.com/.
Unzip the package and move to your plugins directory or install plugin from wp-admin by upload zip.
Log into WordPress and navigate to the “Plugins” screen.
Locate “Facebook Events Pro” in the list and click the “Activate” link.
